Workshops for Schools

Peer-to-peer workshops on consent, boundaries and sexual self-determination for school classes.

Our Workshops

With our peer-to-peer workshops we want to give young school students the chance to have conversations at eye level and to truly be heard. Together we develop concrete strategies for better communication and for taking responsibility for oneself and one's partner. We work on strategies for recognising your own needs and boundaries and communicating them clearly, as well as on how to treat the needs and boundaries of others with respect. We also address misunderstandings and difficult situations. Our focus: open conversations, real tools for better communication and a space where young people feel safe and heard.

  1. 01

    Consent & Communication

Creating a clear understanding of consent (voluntariness, informed decision-making, and the ability to withdraw), while clarifying the different meanings of related terms (e.g. consent vs. assent). Strengthening communication skills and highlighting potential sources of misunderstanding.

  2. 02

    Self-Awareness & Boundaries

Strengthening the ability to recognize and take seriously one's own needs, uncertainties, and personal limits. Learning how to communicate and set boundaries, while respecting those of others, supported by practical exercises and reflection.

  3. 03

    Dealing with Boundary Violations

Reflecting on and engaging with how to respond to experienced or observed boundary-crossing situations. Providing practical tools to act effectively in such situations, both in real life and online.

  4. 04

    Working with Real-Life Examples

Using everyday, real-life examples to make content easy to understand and to make difficult or uncomfortable topics more accessible. Normalizing forms of communication that are otherwise taken for granted in everyday social interactions.

  5. 05

    Rights & Support

Offering an overview of relevant legal frameworks and promoting awareness of personal and social responsibility. Introducing local counseling, support, and crisis services to ensure participants know where and how to seek help when needed.

  6. 06

    Reflection & Practical Skills

Fostering self-reflection and awareness of different perspectives, values, and lived experiences. Building skills to navigate conflicts, group dynamics, and challenging situations.

The workshops are designed for school classes (ages 15–16) and are led by trained students. They complement existing sex education offerings and deepen in particular the areas of consent, self-determination and communication. They are guided by the WHO standards for sex education, specifically points 1, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, as well as the promotion of personal development and communicative competences.

A Green Light Project workshop

Flexible to your needs

The workshop adapts to the class, whether small or large, and we are flexible on cost as well: together we find a solution that works. We come to the school – in Vienna and, if wanted, beyond; travelling from Vienna is possible. The workshops are led by trained students who bring experience from workshops they have already held.
